Bio:
When Jonah was 3 he was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis. It was hard for Mom, we were kinda struggling with money at the time so get medicine for him was put first. At one point, we ate the same thing for dinner and lunch for 2 weeks.
It was weird having to get up in the middle of the night because we had to rush Jonah to the hospital. Hearing him scream once we got there. That woke me right up and I could never go back to sleep. Often times, Star and I would camp outside his door to make sure he didn’t have a nightmare or else hed wake up drenched in salty sweat and hacking his lungs out.
He thinks its a special thing that “special” people get. He’d brag about it to us, talking about how he was the special-est one in the family. He really wasn’t if Jonah was lucky he’d live to his mid-20’s. But the chances have already been calculated. He’s gonna finish college and
Not make it. He thinks taking his medicine before eating is his special drink that makes him super strong. And the one inhales at night is what he calls his muscle gas that gives him big muscles. And his vibrating vest?...Actually no, he doesn’t have anything for that one.
When do we have to tell him the truth?
